The final levels of the environment really step up to the plate and deliver, in terms of enhanced difficulty. One thing you notice when you finish if you're playing Kula World, rather than Roll Away, is that you got through the whole environment without being offered a secret level. It's the same for the next environment too, and one might feel cheated if it weren't for the glorious variety we've already appreciated. Level 131
This level ranges long and wide. It also features friendly and useful one-way indicators. Trust them, they know what they're there for. The first tricky bit is the jump onto the key block from the ice block, and then back to the main structure from the ice block, as shown in frame 2. The neighbouring block has spikes, and the surface you want to jump onto from the ice is not obvious. From this jump position, I count 1-2-3 (surfaces) and jump. You should land safely on the long arm.
When you're ready to venture over to the exit, (ie you have both keys) you'll encounter 2 crumbly blocks. Leave one of these unbroken as you make your way over to the fruit. Do a rebound jump to get to the fruit block. This block has a boost button to add your passage back to the exit structure. Glad you left that crumbly block now aren't you?!
Level 132
Two remarks to be made here: fruit first, and timing. Yes, that's right, before you have both keys, get the items on the exit ring first as there is only one safe way down to that structure, and it involves the exit as a landing possie. (The NTSC version of the game places a secret exit sign on the exit ring. I have no idea how you get to it.)
Negotiating the security is difficult, and will take you a few goes to get used to. One side you need to do 2 jumps across their route. This is not too tricky - just wait for the right sort of gap to open up, jump into it, and jump as it begins to close. The other, more difficult side, you need to get into the gap in the line of mobile capture stars that circles the rings and follow them around for 3 squares. It's a bit hairy, but fortunately you only need to try and match their velocity for 3 squares length, then it's jump and you're off onto the key structure. Go with the flow.
Secret Level
Aris Efraimidis has informed me that it is a bug that renders the secret levels inaccessible for Kula World and Roll Away. The levels themselves are in the game engine. Despite my aversion to cheat codes, I say now is as justified as we can possibly be in applying them! During gameplay in Level 132, or indeed in any levels of the environment, input the following: triangle-up-triangle-L2-L1-L2-square-X. The console should make a beep sound, show you the end screen of your current level, then open up the secret level for you.
A rare thing for a secret level, an hourglass, appears here. This makes a doable level actually rather easy. Have a look at the pics if you get lost. The trickiest thing is finding your way to the exit along the elevated broken pathway of invisible blocks.
Level 133
There is a green button off to your left, on the L-shaped ice block. Turn this on on your way back from collecting the fruit and key visible in the distance (jump every other crumbly block). Don't take the top way, go by taking the side or bottom route. Jump down to the level of the highest transporter, and jump over to the exit structure. You route to the rest of the puzzle is by jumping from the second retracting spike block.
You should have just been pinged to a safe square at the end of a long line of boost buttons on the bottom level. Turn around and boost back to the other end where the second key is. The order of boosting requires a jump onto the second boost button (both ways) in order to make it safely across.
If at this point you didn't turn the transporter on, you're stuffed. The single boost button over to the ring of fire is your route back up to the ring where the exit is. Collect the gem you're able to on your way to the transporter (land-roll-jump). My reflexes are not sharp enough to collect the red gem from the fire blocks. I thus deem it must be impossible.
Level 134
Your key access point is the single block within jumping range of the ring. Trouble is, you have to jump onto a retracting spike block to get to the block...don't worry if technique disuse means you're a bit rusty here. The single block has a boost button that gets you over to the second ring. Crash through all crumbly blocks, but take care not to jump onto the exit ring via the space you create. You have to go back via that single block. And those dreaded retracting spike blocks.
Level 135
The level starts with only 30 seconds, but fortunately there is an hourglass nearby. A word of advice; take that lethargy pill on the ice before topping up your time with the hourglass. You won't regret it when you head that way for the completion of the level. Crash through those 2 crumbly blocks and claim the hourglass.
Use the boost button to get you over to the isolated blocks where the first key and the fruit is. Watch yourself on the way back; the boost button that pings you back onto the hourglass platform has a retracting spike square as its landing area. I start the series of jumps as I hear the spikes are coming up.
Jump to the looming overhead structure via a hop on the ice finger where the lethargy pill was. Negotiate your way to the position shown in frame 3 and use the crumbly blocks to move you in the direction of the exit finger.
Bonus Level
The trick to this level is in your judgement of distances. A smattering of single blocks are placed 1 and 2-square distances away from eachother, and access to a ring requires similar judgement. Two of your jumps will be rebound jumps. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about lethargy pills here, but be careful all the same and capitalise on the chance to get some (fairly) easy points.
